Editorial illustration for humanitarian organization Plan International for Menstrual Health Day, based on their research around Period Poverty– the lack of access to menstrual products and the burden it causes. Using their stats, I created a concept around the fact that access to period products is a right, not a luxury, and illustrated this idea in a playful approach, while still being educational.
According to new research from Plan International Canada, more than 83% of people who menstruate believe period products are too expensive, and 22% ration or use products longer than they should because they can’t afford more.
