BE KIND by Ellen
ILLUSTRATION & PACKAGING DESIGN
I was commissioned by the Ellen DeGeneres Show to design their Summer 2021 BE KIND subscription box, a packaged collection of socially conscious products handpicked by Ellen.
My design creates a vibrant, happy, loving and kind community enjoying summer and living joyful lives. I decided to illustrate a series of characters dancing, loving each other, exercising, sun bathing, enjoying self care, taking care of the earth, and celebrating the summertime doing whatever they love. Being the second summer during the pandemic, I felt it was important to express appreciating the simple things that make us happy and being kind to one another, through this colorful and busy layout of characters.

Bright colors & lively characters create a vibrant & uplifting summer scene.
For the BE KIND logo I customized a bubbly font on a wavy curve to give an airy feel with movement.
BE KIND to yourself, to others, to the earth.
I wanted something unique inside the box & decided to continue the "BE KIND" message using some of the characters.
